History Recovered:
Preserving Every Voice
History Recovered is dedicated to rescuing and preserving the stories, achievements, and milestones that have been quietly erased from government websites in 2025.
From military records to vital public information, we believe that history belongs to everyone—and it should never be erased. Our mission is to create an archive of these lost pages, ensuring that important narratives, including those of marginalized groups and historical achievements, are not forgotten. Join us in protecting the truth and fighting against the erasure of history—before it’s lost forever.
Quote of the Month
“We are not makers of history. We are made by history.”
Martin Luther King Jr.
Recovered Spotlight
Originally published by the National Park Service, this now-removed page told the story of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising—an event widely regarded as a turning point in the LGBTQ+ rights movement. Though once part of the NPS’s public historical archive, the page has since been taken down. We’ve preserved it here to ensure that this landmark moment remains accessible and visible to all.
